Relativity drive: The end of wings and wheels?
08 September 2006 - New Scientist Tech:
"Roger Shawyer has developed an engine with no moving parts that he believes can replace rockets and make trains, planes and automobiles obsolete. 'The end of wings and wheels' is how he puts it. It's a bold claim"
PS. —the folks at the Physics Forum are pretty unanimous that this is a scam. They say it's the total radiation pressure per angular unit of area that counts, which is constant, and not the pressure per linear unit of area, which of course decreases as the volume of the chamber increases.
I think. Or something like that.
